A blog by a basset hound named Ernest puppy who is making the lives of two people in Seattle very happy and one day hopes to run for public office.
Ernest - We spent the day wandering around Dutch Harbor. It is too muddy for bassets, and there are a lot of eagles. You are large enough to be safe, but I would not want to be a small basset pup here. Between the eagles and the wind it would be scary. We went to the Museum of the Aleutians. See http://www.aleutians.org/shipboatarc.html for some pictures of the kinds of ships and boats that were here in the early 20th century. And http://www.unalaska.info/history.htm for some history. We did see a beagle baying in the back of a truck as its person was shopping and had forgotten his list of needs. We sail tomorrow at 3pm. Keep your paws crossed for good weather.TH
Five walks?! I must say I'm quite jealous... I wish my humans would take me for that many walks in the rain.Sparky

After seeing the corgi/beagle I have to wonder what our pups would look like. Alas, my ma ape tells me this is a biological impossibility. And not just because I am neutered.wally.
